Although fruit is healthy and usually recommended, some types of fruit are simply not pregnant – female-friendly. If no precautions are taken during its use, this may lead to vaginal bleeding and, worst case scenario, miscarriage.

Fruit to avoid during pregnancy:

Papaya – it is high on the list for obvious reasons. Raw or semi-mature papaya contains latex, which can cause premature labour and may be dangerous for your baby.

However, ripe papaya is rich in vitamins and iron. The consumption in controlled quantities is harmless, but it does prevent the consumption of an immature papaya during pregnancy.

Pineapple – these are also not recommended for pregnant women because they contain certain enzymes that alter the texture of the cervix and cause premature labour.

This could lead to miscarriages. In addition to causing such an effect, it is also notorious for causing diarrhea, and that can be very uncomfortable during pregnancy.

Grapes-grapes are not recommended for consumption in the last trimester. It is known that they generate heat in the body that is not good for both mother and child. Do not use too many grapes during your pregnancy to avoid complications.

These are some types of fruit that should not appear in your fruit bowl during pregnancy. Some types of fruit which are harmless to pregnant mothers:

Fruit for the pregnancy diet

Watermelon-Rich in water, helps maintain the electrolyte level.

Banana – rich in carbohydrates, prevents anemia and helps maintain intestinal health.

Oranges-keeps you hydrated and contains a lot of vitamin C. avocados-rich in healthy fats and folic acid, which promotes healthy brain growth in the fetus. They also contain a lot of vitamin K, vitamin B, fiber, magnesium and potassium.

Apples-Rich in fiber, vitamins and potassium.
These are some types of fruit that can be consumed during the pregnancy diet. It is ideal to consume moderate amounts of each fruit once a day.

This gives your growing baby the right nutrients and keeps his health under control. Try to include more fruit in your diet. You can also have a few with each meal if you don’t like large bowls of fruit.
